Khi học tiếng anh, chúng ta gặp rất nhiều lần các đại từ chỉ định “ this, that, these, those”. Đây là các đại từ chỉ người, chỉ vật được nhắc đến, cho người nghe thêm thông tin về khoảng cách gần hay xa so với người nói. - This: đây, này, chỉ vật/ người ở khoảng cách gần
- That: kia, đó, chỉ vật/ người ở khoảng cách xa
- These: số nhiều của this
- Those: số nhiều của that
- This và that dùng cho danh từ số ít và danh từ không đếm được.
- These và those dùng cho danh từ số nhiều
